Kingston Morehen can assist with a range of Building Surveying matters for older buildings, including those in Conservation Areas or which are Listed or given some other form of special status. We have also undertaken work on Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Our Chartered Building Surveyors are familiar with the particular needs of historic buildings, both in terms of repair & maintenance techniques and local authority requirements.

Most older buildings were designed and constructed to “work” differently to more modern ones, particularly when it comes to dampness and ventilation. Repairs and remedial works that are used on modern buildings may be entirely unsuitable for an historic building, both physically and legally.
